Nitya grew up in New Delhi drawing at birthday parties and hanging out with art teachers instead of friends. Her mom takes full credit for her creative spark, claiming it’s because she painted every day during her 9-month pregnancy. (Thanks, Mum, I guess).

Breaking the older-sibling mold of becoming a doctor or lawyer, Nitya won a prestigious merit scholarship to Parsons School of Design and at 17 years old, she moved continents to make New York City her campus. She initially envisioned a career in fashion and graphic design, spending her days surrounded by art directors and photographers. But what was supposed to be a quick summer internship at The New York Times turned into a rare, year-long stint after they extended her three times to build their first editorial design system.

But comfort zones are boring. So, she jumped into Big Tech at Meta, joining the Privacy Trust team to design end-to-end encrypted, ephemeral messaging features to protect teens from sextortion, and domestic violence victims. Between the free green juices and the Broadway office views, she became a total sponge, learnt rapidly from 6 mentors until she started teaching Protopie to NYC designers, judging hackathons, and mentoring interns. Her ultimate flex? Seeing her friends 13 hours away in India using features she designed daily.

After a stint of traveling the world, she caught the next massive wave:  Agentic AI. Today, she’s at Adobe, hustling to build conversational agentic experiences from 0 to 1 in record time.

Her obsession? The intersection of expression, motion, and interaction.
